On 31 January 2025, the final conference of the Hortus Medicus Erasmus+ project was organised by the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences, with a large number of participants from various fields. The event explored the topic of therapeutic horticulture, which topic is quite new in Hungary, from a variety of approaches: from the point of view the agriculture, the impact on participants and landscape architecture aspects. Participants were given an insight into Italian and Austrian situation of this topic: horticultural therapy programmes and training opportunities. A round table discussion followed the presentations in which representatives of the institutions spoke about their experiences about the pilot horticultural therapy sessions and the possibilities for further sessions.
Before the conference, we held the last international meeting of the project to conclude three years of fruitful work together.
Although the three-year project has come to an end, we are continuing on the path we started: further training and sessions to promote the spread of the therapeutic horticulture in the region.
