The Therapeutic Horticulture pilot training has ended in Gödöllő

At the end of September, the Therapeutic Horticulture training in Gödöllő held jointly by the MATE and ELTE BGGYK teachers and Diversity Foundation’s professional staff, has a successful end. 19 Participants – social workers, special school teachers, farmers, gardener, psychologist, landscape architect – completed the theoretical and practical training, which consisted of five modules, with project work adapted to their own area. On the last day of training, a short discussion followed the presentation of the project work. After the successful presentations the participants received a certificate from the MATE adult education institute. The positive feedback shows that participants can use what they have learned in their own work. Some have started therapeutic gardening initiatives; others can incorporate many elements into their existing garden therapy activities. We were inspired and encouraged by the participants to start and further develop the training in the future.
Soon we will also report on the Transylvanian pilot training in parallel with Gödöllő.
