The Diversity Foundation organized the first non-subsidized Therapeutic Horticulture training in Hungary. The training ran from April to October 2025 in Gödöllő and was attended by thirteen participants, including special education teachers, gardeners, landscape architects, social workers, and an occupational therapist, all of whom delivered their final presentations. We believe that the participants mastered the basics of the field and gained inspiring experiences during the course. We received a great deal of positive feedback; the following is one example that well summarizes the training: “The training provides comprehensive and practice-oriented knowledge in the field of horticultural therapy. It is an excellent opportunity for anyone who wishes to consciously apply the power of nature in their developmental or supportive work. What is learned can be utilized in many fields, including education, social work, and rehabilitation. I recommend it to everyone who believes that caring for plants has healing power—for both body and soul.”
